Mr. Seyed Amin Ghorashi is a doctoral student in the Engines and Combustion Laboratory (ECL) of The University of Alabama (UA). Mr. Ghorashi received his Masters’ and bachelors’ in Mechanical Engineering from University of Kashan, Iran. Mr. Ghorashi joined ECL in January 2022, where he received the prestigious Graduate Council Fellowship for one year. After that, he has been working on a US DOE-funded wood stove project. His research focuses on developing sophisticated numerical models and conducting experimental research, ultimately leading to the creation of a standalone power wood heater technology with improved heat transfer efficiency.
